Source of all being, we turn to You as did our people in ancient days. They beheld You in the heavens; they felt You in their hearts; they sought You in their lives. Help us, O God, to see the wonder of life. Give us the courage to search for the truth. I harbor within a vision of my highest self, a dream of what I could and should become. I must pursue this vision, labor to make my dream real. Thus, I will give meaning to my life. Religion is the vision of something that stands behind, within and beyond the passing flux of immediate things; something that gives meaning to all that passes, yet eludes apprehension; something which is the ultimate ideal, and the hopeless quest. I feel His presence in the glow of my heart. I hear Him in the still, small voice of conscience. I sense Him in my unending search for truth. Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One! Blessed is His glorious kingdom forever and ever and ever! Peace, happiness and blessing. Grace, love and mercy. May these descend on us and all the world. Amen!
